ALLOTMENTS

 

POLICY DOCUMENT 2006

 

1                    Tenants to be informed that all overgrown areas must be cleared.

 

2                    Tenants to be informed that all fuel must be stored off site.

 

3                    Tenants to be informed that no hedges can be trimmed with electrical appliances.

 

4                    Tenants to be informed that all unauthorised visitors must be warned to leave the site.

 

5                    Tenants to be encouraged to keep the roadside gate closed.

 

6                    Tenants to be informed that all equipment and chemicals should be kept locked away and sheds kept secure when not in use.

 

7                    Tenants to be informed that LPG is not permitted to be used.

 

8                    Tenants to be informed that Weil’s disease could be a problem and informed to take care, specifically not to put hands into water tanks, etc if skin is broken and to take care when handling and disposing of rat bail and bodies.

 

9                    Tenants to be informed that no fires are allowed on the allotment site

 

10                New holders should cultivate 25% of their plot by the end of 3 months and 75%  at the end of 12 months. 

 

11            Existing holders should have 50% of their plot cultivated by the end of May.  1 month’s notice should be given to get the plot into sufficient cultivation and if nothing is done, notice to quit will be given forthwith.
