56        SHRUBBERY ROAD GREEN – QUESTIONNAIRE

Members considered the content of the questions needed to find out what residents living near the Green valued in it and what they wished to see provided on the Green.

Colin Smith agreed to formulate about 10 questions based on the discussion and email them to Cllr Wescombe who would amend if necessary and forward them to all other Members.  When all Members were satisfied with the questions, the questionnaire would be run off ready for Members to take them, for completion, door to door.

57        PLANNING APPLICATIONS

SE/06/01023/FUL

23 Churchill Road

Rear conservatory, first floor side extension and roof light in front and rear elevation.

The Parish Council has no observations on this application.

SE/06/01274/FUL

Treejumpers, Horton Woods, West of School Lane

Retention of change of use of land for forestry to use for outdoor pursuits with retention of associated buildings, structure and parking areas, provision

of moveable props and retention of use of buildings for mixed purposes for storage of machinery in connection with maintenance of woodland and storage of equipment used in outdoor pursuits and retention of hardstanding for parking forestry vehicles and forest products.

The Parish Council objects to this application as it has concerns about the affect that all this development, some of which seems to be of a commercial nature, will have on the Green Belt.  It wishes to see any coppicing of the woods carefully supervised.

SE/06/01621/FUL

Ivy Cottage, The Street

Retention of detached outbuilding (shed) in the rear garden

The Parish Council has no objections to this application.

SE/06/01633/FUL

Waverley, The Street

External staircase and door to provide loft access.

The Parish Council objects to this further development to an already greatly extended structure in the Green Belt.

SE/06/01687/FUL

Bayhams Cottage, Rays Hill

Front and rear single storey extensions

The Parish Council objects to this proposal on the grounds that it is over development of a property in the Green Belt.

SE/06/TEMP/0020

Horton Kirby C of E Primary School

Build of a timber storage shed

The Parish Council has concerns about the siting and materials of this shed which, being close to the public play area, on full view and being built of timber is open to  arson and other attacks.

SE/06/01714/FUL

96 East Hill

Loft conversion with dormer windows to front and rear.

The Parish Council objects to this development on the grounds of overdevelopment of the plot, the problem of overlooking properties in New Road to the rear, its height in this location would be out of keeping with the character of the area, and the lack of space to provide necessary further parking spaces for a 4 bed property.

The following decision notice has been received:

SE/06/00825/FUL

Two Rivers, Mallys Place

Front porch and conversion of garage to study.
