RISK ASSESSMENT – VILLAGE HALL CAR PARK

Tarmac surface in good repair RISK:LOW

 

Grass surface generally good RISK: LOW

 

Wooden posts – in good repair RISK: LOW

 

Lighting at front of building – good from street lighting RISK:LOW

 

Main Entrance – steps marked in white for good visibility and timed external light assists exit for 5 minutes. RISK: LOW

 

Recycling centre – possible danger from climbing therefore  “no climbing” signs have been put on each module.  RISK: MED

Possible danger from broken glass not swept up by SDC – write to SDC to clear up everyday as promised (done 31 Oct 06).  Parish office staff to check every month (first working day) RISK: LOW

 

Trees along bowling club fence – can be climbed but to no great height.  Prune away low branches.  Check annually in August.  RISK: LOW

Oak tree – railings removed July 2006 to prevent climbing and falling. RISK: LOW

 

Benches – new and made of recycled plastic so no splinters.  Check annually in August. RISK: LOW

 

Ruts in grass at side of hall.  Generally dissuade persons from driving over grass in wet weather.  Newsletter item June 2006. Repeat annually.(In June).  Reduction in use of grass for parking has resulted. Fill in ruts with soil and grass seed when necessary. RISK: LOW
