Swanley District Volunteer Bureau would like to recruit volunteer befrienders in this area. The volunteers are very special people who give one hour or more of their time to visit and chat with elderly men and women who are lonely and isolated. The volunteer will be trained in listening skills and placed with a person who shares their interests. Travel expenses are paid. If anyone is interested, please contact Christine Murray, Befriending Scheme Co-coordinator on Tel: 01322 669292.
