Text Box: Royal British Legion Horton Kirby and South Darenth Branch
“Trying to Stay Alive”
In the words of the title of the legion’s February talk, our local branch is trying to stay alive. Membership secretary, Christine Page says: “Bring your family and friends to our meetings. Do you know anyone interested in joining the Royal British Legion? Remember our work is devoted to raising funds to help ex members of our armed forces including many from the Middle East conflicts. At the same time our local branch must continually raise money to keep the hall going which is a huge commitment.”
We would also like to bring to existing members notice the new meeting start time: 7.25 and 14 seconds – “to give us all time to take our coats off!”
