Text Box: Easter Services 2008 at St Mary's Church: Ash Wednesday 6th February 8pm Communion service Mothering Sunday 2nd March 10am Communion service with flowers for mothers/carers. Palm Sunday 16th March 10am Procession of Palms with communion. Maundy Thursday 20th March 8pm Communion Service. Good Friday 21st March 12 noon prayers followed by a walk with the Cross to St.John's Church for the Good Friday devotion which begins at 2pm (the holy hour). Come and go as you please. Easter Day 23rd March 10am Parish Eucharist celebration During Lent there will be a service in Church every Thursday at 11am a time for quiet and reflection. Relax in the peace of our beautiful Church and leave the stresses and strains behind. These services are designed to be meditative giving people the opportunity for peace in the midst of very busy lives. Do come and visit us - you are assured of a warm welcome. Church warden, Nancy White reports that the bazaar in November raised nearly £1000 with continued thanks to Mrs Reynolds, her helpers and children. The Christingle service raised £91 for the Children’s Society. Once again the church was floodlit for the Christmas period. Thanks to all who make a donation towards this. Projects for 2008 are to update the heating and renew the carpet. This will be done with minimal disruption. March 30th sees the return of the Gwalia Choir and Victoria Stanyon.
