Village Hall -  Premises Licence under the New Licensing Regulations

Please note that the times and activities below have been specified in order to give the Parish Council the opportunity to hire the hall for all kinds of events.  It is not envisaged that there will be any major changes to the ordinary pattern of bookings that have taken place in the hall over the years and which do not appear to have caused any public nuisance or disorder.  The Village Hall Committee will continue to oversee terms and conditions of hiring in the interests of public safety and good management.

Licensing Act 2003 - Application for the grant of a Premises Licence

An application for a Premises Licence at Horton Kirby and South Darenth Village Hall has been made by Horton Kirby and South Darenth Parish Council. A summary of the proposed licensable activities and the proposed hours of opening are :
Plays, Films: 09.00 to 00.00 Monday to Sunday
Indoor sporting events; boxing or wrestling entertainments:  08.00 to 00.00 Monday to Sunday
Live music, recorded music, performances of dance and similar, provision of facilities for making music and dancing:  08.00 to 00.00 Sunday to Thursday and 08.00 to 00.30 Friday to Saturday
Late night refreshment: 23.00 to 00.00 Sunday to Thursday; 23.00 to 01.00 Friday and Sat.
Sale of alcohol: 08:00--23.00 Sunday to Thursday, 08:00--01.00 Friday and Saturday

It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application. The maximum fine for which a person is liable on summary of conviction for the offence is £5,000.

VILLAGE HALL NOW A NO SMOKING VENUE


In May, the Village Hall Committee decided that, for the comfort and safety of users, the hall would be a no smoking area.
