Would people be willing, please, to produce a picture on an A4 sheet of paper or card, and donate it to a good cause. If you are willing to do this the pictures will be sold by number for a flat fee of say £5 or £10 so you won't know which picture you are buying. Pictures do not have to be good enough to hang in the Tate gallery but obviously some will be more artistic than others. So, when you buy a picture you could be buying a daub and supporting the village or you could be buying a potential masterpiece and supporting the village. Thank you in anticipation of your cooperation in this venture. Who knows it may even become an annual event. All completed pictures to Carol Allart please by the end of August.
I would like to receive feedback from you on this idea in terms of whether you would support it by donating or buying and what would be a suitable price. It has been suggested that the proceeds go to a combined children's party for Horton Kirby and South Darenth.
