Read on. It gets better! We’ve enjoyed many and varied guest speakers of late, including a wonderful audio-visual presentation by the Bexleyheath Photo Society and a visit from the Branch Manager and colleagues of Waitrose, Dartford, who not only spoke passionately about the food and drink they sell, but also brought a superb buffet of drinks, cheeses and fruit to sample. We also laid on a well attended (and well enjoyed) social evening of fun and frolics for other local W.I. groups, and enjoyed a long-weekend on the Isle of Wight. Look what you’ve missed so far! The Book Share project continues to grow, and by the time you read this, we’ll have held a “Nearly New” Bring and Buy Fashion Show. Coming up are talks on the Memsahibs in India and postponed from last year Chocolate Making (back of the queue, everyone else) ... and much more besides. We meet on the third Thursday of every month, 7.30 p.m. at the Village Hall. Text Box: DARENT VALLEY LIONS SUMMER FETE SATURDAY 14TH JULY 12 noon until 4.30 Heathside (behind the Village Hall) something for all the family  beer tent - lasar football - barbecue - circus skills balloon modelling -giant slide - crafts -local homemade produce all the fun of the fair.  Proceeds to the Lions Hospice and our local charity fund.
