Parish councillors are as fed up as all residents must be of seeing so much graffiti in our villages. South Darenth has been particularly hard hit in recent months. Not only is there the expense and hassle of cleaning it off but there is the effect it has of bringing down morale and gives the impression of a community where no one cares, which is of course far from the truth. The actions of a few are spoiling it for the rest of us. There are Members on the Parish Council who think that perpetrators should be prosecuted. The graffiti problem is everywhere but our problem is local. It is being done by kids who live here or nearby. continued Page 2

Fairview New Homes are due to unveil their plans for the Paper Mill site at a public exhibition in the Village Hall on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th March.-- see pages 5 to 7.
Farningham Road Station Rail Services Still to Suffer Cuts
The Strategic Rail Authority has announced the next stage of the tender process for the new franchise agreement to operate train services in Kent. It still means that services at Farningham Road will be cut when the new Channel Tunnel rail link into Stratford is completed.
Two trains will be lost from the peak service and off peak services will be cut by 50%. The Action Group is determined to continue fighting. Read more on page 3.
