hours in each day for graffiti removal.  For this reason, the Parish Council has decided that it is not worth waiting to get the Grimebuster Team and will pay to have the job done on parish-owned property.

The public can report large scale graffiti by:
· Logging on to the Council's website
www.sevenoaks.gov.uk and clicking on the 'Report a fault' button on the homepage
· Texting 07799 732732 starting with the word GRAF followed by the location of the graffiti
· Calling the Council on 01732 227000

For smaller pieces of graffiti (i.e. up to 50 cm sq) Cleaning Kits are available from Sevenoaks District Council (01732 227000) and Horton Kirby & South Darenth Parish Council (01322 865193).  Because of the high cost of the chemicals involved, a small charge may be applicable.

Alternatively, for a faster removal service, Sevenoaks Direct Services are able to clean graffiti within 7 days at a cost of £25 per hour, per person.

Farningham Road Services continued

On 18th January the SRA (Strategic Rail Authority) published a Briefing Document marking the start of the tender stage for the new franchise due to start in December 2005.
The document sets out the results of the consultation undertaken between Feb and April 2004, to which the Action Group contributed, and details the level of service that the new franchise operator will be expected to deliver.

If you remember, the proposal in February 2004 was that when the new channel tunnel line is opened to Stratford, new fast domestic services will be introduced and the services stopping at Farningham Road would be cut to only 1 train per hour including the peak period with no trains at all going against the peak period. The Action Group rallied action against these proposals and letters from our villages represented 10% of all the mail they received from the whole of Kent.

You did make a difference and some of the proposed cuts have been reversed. It is now proposed that during the 3 hour peak period there will be 4 trains to Victoria and 1 to Blackfriars. This is effectively a cut of 2 Victoria services compared to the current timetable. Also not all trains will stop
