MISSION COMPOSTABLE
BTCV, a leading conservation charity, is promoting home composting in partnership with KCC's War on Waste campaign. They tell us that last year alone, the people of Kent generated over 700,000 tonnes of household waste which cost a staggering £48.2 million to dispose of to landfill and they want to encourage a reduction in this by composting. Over the Summer of 2003 15,000 compost bins were sold in Kent but they want even more people to make their own compost. The offer on plastic compost bins at only £10 each including delivery is still on but ends in December. If you have been thinking of getting one, now is the time to ring 0870 844 3001 to place your order. Composting is very easy but if you want any advice, speak to Carol Allart on 865193.
