Text Box: TREE WARDENS
Would you like to be a parish tree warden? Free training is given to volunteers. You do not need to be an expert, just someone who is interested in
local projects and wants to care for the environment. This is run by BTCV who can be contacted on 01233 812033 or kent@btcv.org.uk
Text Box: FREE TREES

Network Rail and local councils. Up to 25 native trees are on offer to
individuals and organisations. Apply by 31 October, and once successful, pick up your trees from Mead Crescent, Dartford. (they are very tiny to start with; less than 1 metre in length, so easily transported).

Text Box: PLAY FACILITIES

A group of parish councillors is currently inviting a number of play equipment manufacturers to meet them on site at Shrubbery Road to discuss options. The group has also spoken to some nearby residents and youngsters to see what is wanted. Once schemes have been evaluated the Parish Council will consult with locals before progressing. At the moment the idea is to put in one piece of equipment and see how it fares before installing the next item. In the meantime, if anybody has any suggestions to help councillors please put them in writing to the parish office.
Text Box: VILLAGE HALL PROPOSED EXTENSION

Following the item in the last edition, we found out that a karate club was looking for somewhere to hold weekly classes for adults and children. Are there any other groups or clubs that are looking for premises? We would love to hear from you and know details of requirements so that they can be taken into account during this planning stage. At the moment the Parish Council considers that it needs a second hall for 80 people (with black out, storage and a reasonable size kitchen), an interview room and toilets. No additional car parking will be provided. Comments from users on existing or future facilities ) would be welcomed. Contact the parish office.
