CITIZENS ADVICE BUREAU

Dartford Citizens Advice Bureau currently provides an outreach service available to local residents. A fully trained advisor is available at the doctors surgery in Devon Road on the first and third Thursday of each month between 1.30pm and 3.30pm. No appointment is necessary and the service is free, confidential and independent.

AGE CONCERN FOOT CLINIC

The Foot Clinic is held at the Village Hall on alternate Friday afternoons. The contact for appointments is 07867 603 886 .

MEDIATION SERVICES

Do you have a problem with your neighbours? Noise, car parking, dogs. The service is free and confidential to anyone in the Sevenoaks District Council & Tonbridge Wells Borough Council areas.

The West Kent Independent Mediation Service exists (thanks to Lottery Funding) to give free and confidential advice and to try and resolve matters by bringing the two sides together.

FREE SATURDAY REFUSE COLLECTION

An SDC freighter is parked at the following locations for residents to bring their rubbish to it. Most household items are accepted including large items but the following are not accepted: Fridges, freezers, cookers, cast iron baths or boilers, long metal poles, building materials, manure, paint, oil or large parts of engines or vehicles. Green waste from your garden is no longer accepted.

GARDEN WASTE - SDC are selling green paper sacks at £4 for 12 for residents to put out for collection. These can be bought from the parish office. If you have a regular amount of green waste to dispose of, the new wheelie bin may be for you. It will be provided free of charge when you pay a £30 annual fee for it to be emptied on a fortnightly basis. Ring 01959 565489 for full details.
